Community Engagement Team
Our vibrant volunteers work together to support UPMC Western Maryland by giving of their time and resources. The organization brings together those in our community who spend time supporting our patients and the many professionals who care for them. Led by Dr. Patricia Wright, director of Volunteer Services, the Community Engagement Team comprises a happy cross-section of our community, joined by a simple focus on supporting our hospital system. In 2025, the Foundation formed this group from our existing pools of volunteers and the fundraising volunteers in our WMHS Auxiliary. ​

The group meets quarterly for a meal and an opportunity to hear from a healthcare professional.
